Our church is in the process of applying for the EcoChurch Silver Award from Arocha. This is a scheme to help churches reflect upon their environmental impact in particular areas and make changes in a positive direction.
Starting with a series of services in Creationtide, we have now created a number of discussion groups that reflect the five EcoChurch Award categories in the picture below…
It’s important that the process of application be a whole church process, and the groups we have set up are an important part of doing this.
I can’t say I know that much about the detail of all this, but I find it all very intriguing, so I have joined one of the groups and will be reporting back at regular intervals as the project unfolds.
