This year’s Green Christian conference is based on Joy in Enough, and will be exploring the many ways to create a fairer and greener economy. We’ll be hearing from keynote speakers, running workshops, and showcasing the Plenty! programme. After a couple of years of online conferences, it’s an opportunity to be in the same space again, meeting like-minded Christians and renewing old friendships.
The dates for your diary are the evening of Friday the 7th of October, online, followed by the in-person day conference on Saturday 8th of October at the Priory Rooms, Birmingham, from 10.30 am to 4pm.
You can look forward to hearing from Paul Kingsnorth, writer and founder of the Dark Mountain project, on the Friday evening. Then on Saturday we will be joined by economics and politics commentator Grace Blakeley, and scientist and theologian Prof Christopher Southgate.
Workshops will cover topics such as growth and debt, economic justice, inequality and more. And of course there will be plenty of time for informal conversations and networking, and taster sessions of Plenty!
